3. BRAINSTORMING FOR RHETORICAL ANALYSIS
Brainstorming for rhetorical analysis was an entry that also helped me in my early stages of writing. In this assignment, we were required to lookup the creators of our ad and find their purpose, intention of speaking, and intended audience. Like the other assignments, I used this in my early drafting stage for core information to include in the paper. The assignment wasn’t the most interesting of the bunch; however it was a necessary step that most of us probably wouldn’t have done on our own. I learned that as writers you should have some sort of “plan” or approach to whatever it is you write. Though rare thoughts and sudden epiphanies may cross your mind in the middle of the night, I wouldn’t count on it. For that reason, its always important to have a plan and prepare ahead of time.
