2. love letter
My next daybook choice was the love letter to the inanimate object. I chose this entry due to its different and interesting approach. We’re all familiar with love letters, and have a general understanding of what they look and sound like. We often associate love letters with lots of X’s and O’s, and also flowers, chocolate, and hearts. At first, this seemed like nothing new, just a typical love letter right? Wrong. All of sudden you dropped “inanimate object” somewhere along the lines, and the class freaks out. What I love so much about this is the sheer uniqueness of the assignment; you took a simple genre we were all familiar with it, and made it into something completely unheard of. The structure and formatting generally remained the same, however, who (or in this case what) we addressed was changed. This led to a different, interesting, and overall fun daybook entry.
